Aunt Mary’s Lasagna

Servings: 12 | Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 45 mins


  • 12 pieces lasagna (any brand or homemade)
  • 16 oz pasta sauce (any flavor of your chosen or homemade)
  • 1/4 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp oregano
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 deep pot of water
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil


  1. In a large size pot boil about 9 to 12 quarts of water and boil
  2. Add about 2 pinches of salt (I prefer sea salt)
  3. Add 1 tbsp olive oil
  4. Add all 12 pieces of lasagna; stir for 1st minute and boil for 9 mins
    1. Do not cover the entire pot or it will bubble so let it breath a bit
  5. While the lasagna is cooking cook the ground beef in a pan
  6. Add 1/2 tsp salt, pepper and oregano
  7. Add 1/2 tsp olive oil
  8. Cook meat about 7-10 mins stirring occasionally making sure meat is fully cooked.
  9. In a deep tray (glass or aluminum) begin to layer each of the following:
    1. Cover tin bottom with sauce; just enough to cover it
    2. Add rows of 3 of lasagna

    5. Add meat (or veggie or plain) this meal has ground beef

    7. Sprinkle 2 tsp of parmesan cheese

  10. Cover with aluminum foil
  11. Bake at 375 for 45 mins
  12. Lets rest for about 10 mins
  13. Plate, serve and enjoy!


  • Pairs well with Italian or garlic bread, a glass of wine for those 18 and older and best part eat with those you love.
